Moringa- Live Plant

Moringa is a vegetable tree that has become famous for it’s outstanding nutritional profile. For this reason, it has been called “The Miracle Tree” by many. The leafy greens are a traditional vegetable in India where it is native but are now eaten throughout the tropics after decades of promotion from NGO’s. The greens are eaten raw, cooked or as a leaf powder supplement which is high in protein and micronutrients. Moringa performs very well throughout most of Florida (maybe barring northernmost parts of the state) and can re-sprout from the ground after hard freezes in much of the state. The trees can be very fast growing and establish to a nice size within one year. Trees can tolerate aggressive pruning to manage size and promote tender growth for eating.
