Variegated Cuban Oregano

This is a variegated version of Cuban oregano. The only difference is the unique color scheme and maybe a slightly stronger flavor and scent.

A staple for the Florida herb garden.  The thick leaves of this herb have a powerful scent and great flavor that lends itself well to all kinds of cuisine.  We like to crumble up a leaf or two and toss it into food as we are cooking to impart rich flavor.  Cuban Oregano is very easy to grow.  It is a bushy herbaceous plant but in the right conditions can clamber up some into a fence or adjacent plants, especially when in some shade and in healthy growing conditions.  Plants are very cold sensitive but can return from the roots or be easily rooted and saved away in pots for future plants.
